Sportsground Closures

Call Warringah Council's sportsground wet weather hotline on 9981 2099 for updates
Sportsground availability
If a sportsground is expected to be closed due to organised or reactive maintenance, Council will contact allocated users and casual hirers in advance to notify of such closures and advise of alternative arrangement for use if available. If there is an emergency situation at a ground the Council will endeavour to do its best to let the user and hirers know as soon as possible.
Council provides a wet weather hotline which is updated during periods of wet weather. Updates are also made on Friday afternoons via Council's Twitter and Facebook pages.
If grounds are closed for training they are also closed to school use during the day.
A sporting club or association has no authority to open a ground when Council has closed it. Anyone using a closed sportsground may be charged for any damage arising from unauthorised use. Consideration may also be given to determine if the sportsground should be re-allocated.
In addition to Council closure of sportsgrounds, some sporting organisations or officials may also choose to close grounds prior to or during scheduled use. Your club or association should be your first point of call to see if games will proceed.
