Community Research
Annual Community Surveys
Warringah annually commissions a random telephone survey in June-July each year. Some 600 residents are interviewed to measure importance and satisfaction with Council services and perceptions of community safety and connectedness. The findings are compared to previous survey results & external local government benchmarks. This research informs Council’s ongoing operational and strategic planning processes.
The Community Survey 2011 plus the surveys from previous years (reports and presentations) are below:
Focus Groups 2009
In November 2009 focus groups explored the Strategic Directions in the 2009 Strategic Community Plan (as amended) to assess if the revised and updated strategies aligned with the community aspirations for the future of Warringah. The notes on the discussions of the focus groups is available below:

Welcome to the 2006 Warringah Community Profile
Warringah Council's Community Profile gives a detailed overview of the key demographic characteristics of our local population. As well as highlighting population trends for Warringah at large, it shows key characteristics and population trends for each Warringah suburb.
Aside from being an important planning tool for Council, Warringah’s Community Profile is designed to inform community groups, business, investors, students and the general public about our local population. The Profile presents the data in simple, clear tables and charts with concise factual commentary. The Warringah Council Community Profile includes results from the 2006, 2001, 1996 and 1991 Censuses of Population and Housing.
In the coming months further features will be added to this site, including an updated Warringah Community Atlas – a detailed map based overview of the changing face of Warringah.
