The Local Government Internal Ombudsman Network (LGION)

There are currently nine local governments with an Internal Ombudsman in New South Wales:

Auburn Council

Burwood Council

Hurstville City Council

Ku ring gai Council

Sutherland Shire Council

Tamworth City Council

Warringah Council

Wollongong City Council

Wyong Shire Council

The nine Internal Ombudsman have formed the LGION to improve professional standards, share information about probity issues facing local government and to advocate for state government support of the role.   LGION member councils host quarterly meetings.
