Our Green Vision
Warringah Council doesn't take our bushland and beach environments for granted and is on the front foot when it comes to protecting these wonderful assets for future generations.
As an organisation, we are serious about reducing our impact on the planet and are proud to be taking a leading role in the community in sustainability. We have received ten accolades for our sustainability practices during the last four years.
We have installed solar panels on several council-owned buildings, signed up to 25% green power, reduced water consumption, increased waste recycling rates, reduced our six-cylinder fleet vehicles, and introduced alternative fuel sources.
We are also improving habitat of our bushland areas for native wildlife.
