The Eastern Banjo Frog (Limnodynastes dumerilii) is a large frog that burrows into the ground. It is most active after heavy rain in spring and summer. At the first sign of danger it dives to the bottom of the pond and hides in the mud. Eastern Banjo Frogs are found in a wide range of habitats from woodland and rainforests to farmland and grassy areas.
