Fabulous 50s and Swinging 60s
We’ve created a unique collection of resources for researching our local area. It covers the indigenous history of our area, social history, the geography and geology of the land, the built and natural environment, and contemporary issues.
The local studies collection includes:
- Reports and environmental studies
- Maps and plans
- Local newspapers
- Oral histories
- Newspaper clippings file
The books and studies in the collection can be located through the catalogue, and are available in the Local Studies room at Dee Why library during library opening hours.
Items in the Local Studies collection are not loaned out. Local Studies staff can give you access to newspaper clippings and other parts of the collection that are stored securely.
Local Studies staff are generally available from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday if you need assistance with your research.
