Warringah's Grants Program 2016/17
$268,000 in grant funding is on offer under these categories:
  • Community Development Grants - $91,000 available, up to $5,000 per organisation
  • Cultural Development Grants - $30,000 available, up to $5,000 per organisation
  • Sporting Groups Capital Assistance Grants - $147,000 available with grants of up to 50% of expenditure on sports and recreation infrastructure

Applications open 1 April and close 2 May with funding to be distributed in July 2016, to be spent by 30 June 2017.

Australia Day Awards and Outstanding Community Service Awards
Council celebrates and recognises the contributions of local residents through the annual Australia Day Awards and Outstanding Community Service Awards. The awards reflect values such as the pursuit of excellence, commitment to a tolerant and diverse society, a fair go and public service.

There are five award categories:
1)            Citizen of the Year 
2)            Young Citizen of the Year (between 16 years and 27 years)
3)            Sportsperson of the Year Award
4)            Community Event of the Year Award
3)            Outstanding Community Service Award
