If you break the road rules or stay too long in a parking spot, you are causing inconvenience to other motorists and you may be fined.

Council Rangers and Parking Officers regularly patrol Warringah streets and car parks and have the authority to ensure compliance with the Australian road rules.
Motorist found to be in breach of the Australian road rules will be issued with a parking infringement notice (PIN). It will either be left on your vehicle or sent to you by mail.

How long do I have to pay a parking fine?

You have 21 days to finalise the matter and ensure no further action is taken against you.

How do I pay a fine?

Payment must be made to the State Debt Recovery Office sdro.nsw.gov.au - not to Council. Details are available on the reverse side of the parking infringement notice or you can phone 1300 130 112 or visit sdro.nsw.gov.au

What if I think the fine is unfair?

If you feel you have been incorrectly penalised you can appeal to the State Debt Recovery Office (SDRO) which handles all matters of this nature for Council.  Please see the SDRO website for information.
