At Manly Dam, dogs may be walked only on bushland walking tracks on a leash. They are not allowed in the water or any of the picnic areas, including the internal road and carparks.
Dogs on a leash are also allowed to be walking on the Narrabeen Lagoon multi-use track. There are no off-leash areas at Manly Dam or the Narrabeen Lagoon reserves.
Dogs are not permitted on beaches, rockpools, schools, preschools, children's playgrounds, shopping centres and on the playing surfaces of sportsfields, even if they are on a leash. Letting your dog onto a beach or rockpool is illegal and can attract fines of up to $330.
The law requires that your dog must be under effective control at all times and dispose of dog poo in a suitable manner. For your convenience, Council has provided dog litter bins at the entrance to each unleashed dog exercise area.
