Fire Safety

The key to reducing the risk of fire is being prepared.

Smoke alarms are compulsary in homes, caravans and campervans. You must have at least one working smoke alarm on each level of your home.

Warringah Council has strict rules in place to prevent buildings catching fire. Buildings containing essential fire safety measures must be inspected at least once a year and an annual Fire Safety Statement must be given to Council. Failure to comply is an offence and penalties apply.
