Parking, Roads and Transport

Pittwater Road

Hitting the beach for a surf after work? Meeting friends for a movie at Warringah Mall? We all want to spend less time in traffic and more time living.

Local streets are Council’s responsibility. We fix potholes. We put up signs. We maintain footpaths and crossings and raise safety awareness. We monitor parking so that everyone gets a share. And we’re building a network of cycle paths, so you can leave the car at home.

Major through roads in Warringah are maintained by Roads and Maritime Services.

Request a Service

Fill out an online form to ask us to investigate a range of concerns from potholes, damaged bus shelters and street lights. Alternatively call Customer Service on 9942 2111.

Street Light Gone Out?

Call Ausgrid on Freecall 1800 044 808.

Request Road Changes (such as a new sign or a speed hump)

We can make changes to our roads but we do so in consultation with the RMS and with our Local Traffic Committee. The committee consists of voting representatives from the Council, the RMS, State Government and NSW Police. It regularly takes advice from non-voting specialists, including Sydney Buses, Forest Coach Lines, and advocates for cyclists and pedestrians.

Northern Beaches Local Traffic Committee

The committee usually meets on the first Tuesday of the month except for January. These meetings are not open to the general public, but people can address the committee on matters listed in the agenda.

You can read the agendas and minutes from recent meetings of the Local Traffic Committee.

Report a Problem on a Main Road

Our main roads belong to the RMS. If there's a problem with the road or traffic lights, Call them on 132 213.
