E-Waste in Landfill

Ban E-Waste in Landfill

Electronic waste is banned from kerbside collections in the Warringah, Manly, Mosman and Pittwater Council areas, the first ban of its kind in Australia.

What is e-waste?

TVs, computers, printers, scanners, modems, DVD and CD players, VCRs and game consoles. The Federal Government is currently drawing up draft legislation on television and computer recycling.

Free E-Waste Recycling at Kimbriki - SHOROC residents only

Residents of Manly, Mosman, Pittwater and Warringah Councils showing proof of residency, in a car, ute or trailer, may deliver up to five items of electronic waste FREE at Kimbriki. The responsible recycling of these items is sponsored by the SHOROC Councils.

Charges apply to commercial or non-resident loads, charged by e-waste tonnage rate. Non-residents can bring up to five items and will be charged a flat rate of $60. For more information call 9486 3512 or visit Kimbriki.
