Warringah Aquatic Centre

 

 

The Warringah Aquatic Centre (WAC) has an indoor heated Olympic size 50m pool and two outdoor heated pools. Entry is $5.70 per adult and $4.10 per child for a casual swim.

Indoor Heated Pool

Olympic Pool

The Olympic size 50 metre pool has eight lanes and is usually configured into two 25 metre pools. During the summer season, the pool is at 50 metres until 8am Mondays and Fridays only. Lanes are allocated for lap swimming and Fun & Splash (subject to change). The Olympic pool is also used for carnivals, learn to swim, squad training, water sports and aquaerobics classes and is heated to 27-28°C.

Diving Pool

The diving pool is attached to the Olympic pool and has two one-metre and one three-metre springboard. The one metre diving boards are open from 5pm-5.30pm Monday to Friday and 1pm- 5pm Saturdays and Sundays for public use - at the discretion of the lifeguard on duty at other times. It is open more frequently during school holidays. The three metre diving board is not open to the public.

• Monday - Friday 5.30am - 9pm
• Weekends and Public Holidays 7am - 6pm
• Closed Christmas Day and Good Friday

Outdoor Area

The outdoor area has a 25 metre lap pool and toddler wading pool which are solar heated and open in the summer season only. The outdoor area also provides a playground, barbecue, picnic tables and large green open space.

• 5.30am - 6.45pm | Monday - Friday
• 9am - 5.15pm | Weekends/Public Holidays

Crèche

The crèche is available for children from six weeks to five years. The crèche provides secure indoor and outdoor play areas.

• Monday to Friday, 8.45am - 12.15pm
• Closed Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays

We Don't Splash Out on Water. Do You?

Every year our rainwater tank saves an olympic swimming pool of water. Our flow restrictors save as much as a 25m pool in water. Our dual flush toilets save a 25m pool of water. Our solar panels heat the outdoor swimming pools in summer. More on our Don't Splash Out on Water campaign.
