It is likely that there are significant opportunities to reduce your businesses energy use with minimal costs, whether or not you rent or own your building.
Energy upgrades could include:
- Purchasing energy efficient appliances and equipment
- A retrofit of existing lighting with more efficient lighting technologies
- Improved efficiency of your Heating Ventilation and Cooling (HVAC) systems
- Installation of renewable energy technologies such as solar
For example an upgrade of your lighting could save your business thousands of dollars per year depending on your current operations and maintenance costs. Think of how these savings could be further invested in your business or free up cash flow. Depending on the type of lighting you are replacing, an installation of LED lights could pay back their value in savings in less than one year.
